Mr. Tonks completed a seven year Auto Electrical apprenticeship with Kennings Walsall and won the Attwood Trophy for The Walsall And District Motor Trade Apprentice Of The Year in 1965 and continued to work within Kennings until starting his own business.                      

G T AUTO ELECTRICAL opened for business in Wright Street Stafford in June 1972 and gradually grew in size and needed larger premises.The business was moved in 1977 to purpose built premises on Astonfields Industrial Estate Stafford and continued to build a good reputation.

The company was joined by son Jonathan in July 1994 and he was trained by Mr.Tonks to an equally high standard.Jonathan was made a Director in January 2008.

There have been many changes within the automotive industry but the business has always moved with the times and changes.

In September 2005 the existing buildings were demolished to make way for smart brand new premises from where we operate today. We welcome old and new customers alike.
